Don’t Stress – Binge Eating

Binge eating – sometimes, it happens to the best of us. After clean eating for a week, or possibly even a month straight, you find yourself breaking down with a spoonful of ice cream in your hand and bags of open chips around you. It happens, but the binge doesn’t have to define you. Recovering from a binge breakdown is not as difficult as it seems, it just takes the right mindset.

In order to flush yourself of all the toxins you ingested during your binge, be sure to drink plenty of water. The presence of water in your system will also prevent you from feeling incredibly bloated after the binge as well! The next step you’ll want to take is to continue eating healthy just as you had previously. Clean eating again will make the binge food you scarfed down not effect your health as much. Because of the recent binge, you’ll want to challenge yourself to no junk food whatsoever for as long as you can last. If you went a month previously before the binge, try and go for two months. The more you push yourself, the more flexible you become.


The last step is incredibly important – do not break down after a binge. Forgive yourself and understand that you are just a human and succumb to temptation at times. Stressing out over the situation will only blow the situation up more and make it seem worse than it truly is. Remember, drink enough water, clean eat, and avoid stress to completely get over this hurdle.
